Crescent Innovation and Incubation Council (CIIC) successfully organised a 2-day hands-on workshop on “Basics in Food Fingerprinting using HPTLC” jointly organised with the support of Entrepreneurship Development Innovation Institute (EDII), Govt of Tamilnadu.

The occasion was graced by the Additional Director of EDII-TN – Mr.P.Selvarajan. Some of the notable guests were Dr.Narasimhan Srinivasan- Chairman of Asthagiri Herbal Research Foundation, Dr.Kumutha Lingaraju- Medical Director of Tagore Medical College and Hospital and Ms.R.Sujatha – Nutritionist and Dietician, Mr. Amit Palende – Application Specialist, Anchrom. The guests were felicitated by Dr. A Azad, Registrar and Mr V N A Jalal, Senior General Manager.

Around 30 participants have participated and received practical knowledge on the use of HPTLC to detect food fingerprints in different samples and analyze the use of food fingerprinting in food safety.
