The School of Law at B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology Chennai, Tamilnadu inculcates in its pupils the attitude of inquiry and writing along and in-line with the curriculum. CSL encourages the students to excel in the art of legal writing and enable them for the future.

By practise, Lawyers are expected to master the art of ‘accurate legal writing’ in order to progress in their career. It is the reason why the students at CSL are encouraged to produce articles and blogs from the beginning of their 5-year BA LLB and BBA LLB programme.

This practice of article-writing and blog-writing enables students to communicate legal concepts and information clearly, by writing confidently and easily. It also brings the practice of writing legal texts with precision. The use of effective legal vocabulary is appropriate for the situation and context through areas such as arbitration, mediation, and more.

English as a language has become a part of our daily lives. The use of English grammar in an appropriate tone is essential for effective communication in legal writing. This helps the pupils through real-life work situations and develops confidence in their ability and knowledge.
