Started in the year 2006, the organization acts as a governing body for a range of clubs and activities. Over the years, the number of clubs that come under ISTD-C have only been increasing. At present, we have eleven clubs catering to various needs. The presence of one unifying body, such as ISTD-C helps develop unity between various clubs and also eases communication. All major events conducted have been under ISTD-C for more than a decade and it has somewhat become an identity to many alumni. The legacy carried by ISTD-C goes beyond Crescent.

College life is not simply about studying and achieving the top rank. Although attaining knowledge and wisdom is the primary aim of going to college, people tend to forget the saying “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. Extra-curricular activities are just as important as studies for someone’s growth, both as a student and as an individual. It would also help to have something out of the ordinary on your resume, which would in turn provide you with an edge over your peers for the foreseeable future. Crescent has always equally emphasized on both studies and extracurricular activities. The purpose of ISTD-C is to find a club filled with like-minded people for every other interest or hobby you may have, who will help you share, learn, relearn, and grow in this respective area. So, students are given this opportunity to rekindle lost interests and excel in them by joining a club.

Cultural activities:

Every year ISTD-C conducts Auditions to take in new members for its various clubs, CresHunt to find the best talent in their respective clubs, who will also have a Q&A session for winning the overall talent title Mr. and Ms. Crescent. The biggest event of Crescent, Orion is also conducted by ISTD-C along with its clubs every year.

Apart from this, As ISTD-C focuses on bettering the quality and in helping the students learn and grow in their respective spheres, Monthly Events, Workshops, and challenging activities are organized on a regular basis.

Every year, A group of final year students becomes the office bearers who manage and coordinate ISTD-C as a team in order to conduct all the above-mentioned events by bringing all the clubs together.
